Ravi Pina shares train information through crowd sourcing and Twitter.

San Francisco, CA

Commuter Ravi Pina wanted to fix the problem. He was frustrated with the lack of information about a train: was it cancelled, delayed, or about to arrive? His solution was to create a system for commuters to crowdsource alerts through Twitter.

Over 400 people have signed up as contributors and over 7000 people follow the account.

If you’d like to build a similar system for the trains in your area, you can find out more here.
