After he watched a group of kids play soccer with a pine cone, Adam DeVon Miller decided to start a charity called Let's Have A: Ball to provide athletic equipment to economically disadvantaged kids.

To get going, he donned a white T-shirt and organized a cross-country bike trip and fundraising campaign on Twitter. He offered donors a chance to get their Twitter @handles printed on his T-shirt while he biked from state to state.
