Jerry Rizzo tweeted his way to a dream job in the NBA.

Philadelphia, USA

Jerry Rizzo is a die-hard 76ers fan with an equal passion for social media. When the team launched a contest to choose a new mascot the 23-year-old and his friend, Hunter Coleman, noticed that two of the final suggestions, @PhilEMoose and @BFranklinDogg were not yet on Twitter. They registered the accounts and started tweeting.

76er CEO Adam Aron was impressed with the entrepreneurial efforts of the two men and ultimately offered Rizzo a job as the official Social Media Coordinator for the team.

Aron said of Rizzo, “He did online what people have done in job-searching efforts for decades—put his best foot forward and demonstrated what he can bring to an employer.”
